Hm, I wonder why you were here so recently yet you didn't post. Kind of ghost-like, like tobiast88. Weird.

Quote by PlunkiesThat's it? You just want 1 error from the bible? Are you sure? I can literally give you hundreds. Everything from failed prophecies, scientific inaccuracies, faulty logic, blatent lies from jesus and even moral/ethical problems. However, since you're brainwashed by your religion, I'm guessing I can list out every single one and you'll find a way to slither out from under them all. Nevertheless, you ask, so you shall recieve (unlike praying).

Crack that bible up and within the first few pages you'll be told snakes eat dust and man has one less rib than women. This might surprise you but both are incorrect. The bible also supports a flat earth. The bible even says plants were created before the sun. Ever learn about photosynthesis in 4th grade? Unfortunately the writers of the bible did not.

Jesus tells us numerous times that anything asked for in prayer will be recieved. Go ahead, pray for something now. Here, quote a bible verse while you're at it...

John chapter 14, verses 12 through 14, "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I go to the Father. Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son; if you ask anything in my name, I will do it."

Ask for a thousand dollars in a brown paper bag to appear infront of you. Jesus will give you ANYTHING and NOTHING is impossilbe.

Mark 11:24: "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."

Matthew 17:20 "For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you."

Go on, pray for something impossible and see if Jesus grants it. He won't, and you'll then try to make excuses for Jesus. Unfortunately no matter what excuse you come up with you can't get around Jesus lying.

Do you like slavery? Do you think slavery is wrong? Well it isn't, at least not according to god. If you think slavery is wrong they you disagree with the all-knowing, all-powerful creator of the universe.

Exodus Chapter 21, verse 20: "If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property."

God loves slavery as long as you don't kill your slave, just beat him horribly and you'll be ok.

Do I have to keep going? Because I most certainly can. That's enough to get you started though, go make up excuses for your mythology now.

LOL! Keep going Plunkies! Where did you get these?

reply to your idea on free will vs omniscient Christian God:

- God can be so smart / knowledgeable that he / she knows EVERY POSSIBLE choice... and the effect of every single choice on the world and where the world would go given the set of choices preceding those events etc.... I don't think it is necessarily one or the other. If God knew EXACTLY how we are going to be and go and say... then yes I agree that free will is less, though not necessarily totally out of the question, something plausible. If God is just so omniscient that NO real choice, action, or anything like that is a "surprise" then that would make sense. Cause if I gave you a choice to steal a pack of gum or not steal, if you did steal it, it would be logical for me to conclude that there is an increased likelihood of you getting "caught" and it's not necessarily that I've determined what you will or will not do, but rather, if you do or don't, I won't be surprised at the outcome given a small amount of environmental factors. Just my 2 cents, let me know what you think !

If you wish to find answers don't settle on conclusions that the website gives, but instead ask more questions. Only one who seeks will find the answers.

To answer the question:

Why won't god heal amputees?

From a purely logical, or scientific, perspective, if the universe offers evidence of design, the nature of the designer is an irrelevant and seperate issue. However if you are interested in theodicy anyway, I'll recommend this link for further reading: http://www.math.utep.edu/Faculty/sewell/articles/pain.html ... the other link I provided requires some downloading and it took a long time for me to finish however this one is better in this aspect.

Hi plunkies...
should have wrote here some time ago...
I wanna thank yer for an unintentional push on the back to move forward, I am losing the elements of having fun argueing against IGNORANT IMBECILLES... wont state who but i know you know who you know i meant....

*Sigh... Should really post something smart next time...

anyway... thanx... u make my forum life rocks

Quote by PlunkiesWow thanks again for posting this. You posted almost an identical post in a different thread as well. And you probably still don't see the irony in misspelling the word "ignorant". Again I'll explain that the evolutionary theory, or any scientific theory for that matter, will never become a law and vice versa. A scientific theory can be a fact and a theory at the same time. I'd also like to point out that the Bible is much older and ignorant than The Origin of Species, but whatever.

Hehe! Well, i never read the bible myself. For I am not a christian, but tell you what, I really disagree with the evolution theory. Although there are some sign that evolution does happen in our everyday life! From the moment we are born until we die! Growing does mean evolving! For the fact that we are alive is that because our body makes changes to cope up with the imabalances of the envirnment. Anyway, here's my question, What makes you believe that we evolved from the apes? I mean who would like to insult his/her own specie? I'm not convinced with the Evolution theory! For God created us! If you could just appreciate the world around you, then you would realize that there is a Supreme Being who have shown us Mercy to make us settle in this world for a while... Think about it, you will not loose anything if you BELIEVE in the One True God! The Most Merciful Most Gracious...

You don't have a soul. That's called your brain. If your brain dies all the activities atributed to your brain will cease.

Yes I have a soul! if you don't have one... that's not my problem! Lol.

I don't wanna argue! everybody believes in what they wanna belive, but I have a soul, other wise, the near death experiences will not be possible.

Hi Plunkies! I made the MT-Atheists group and I wanted to know if you wanted to become a member. Thanks for considering it! ^_^

I hope we could have more intelligent talk sometime soon.
